Sony Pictures Networks India, famous for television and sports in India, has signed a seven-year broadcasting agreement with New Zealand Cricket. Has acquired the rights to broadcast and live stream New Zealand men’s and women’s matches for the next seven years.

New Zealand Cricket announces long-term broadcast agreement with Sony Pictures Networks

This agreement came to light on Wednesday, March 27, 2024, New Zealand Cricket informed about it. This agreement is for almost a decade as this agreement will be active from 1st May 2024 and will expire on 30th April 2031. The agreement also includes India’s tour of New Zealand in the summer of 2026-27, followed by a second tour of India in 2030-31.

The India-New Zealand tour will also be telecasted along with all other bilateral Tests, ODIs and T20Is played in New Zealand along with other international matches.

Broadcasting Rights for Cricket and Diverse Sports

Mr Kaul expressed his sentiments on this agreement in which he said, “We look forward to seeing some great cricket from this agreement which will see three bilateral series against England, Sri Lanka and Pakistan in 2024-25.”

New Zealand will play 5 T20 matches against Pakistan at home in April, this tour is being played because of the T20 World Cup because the World Cup will be held in America and West Indies from June 2 this year, in which New Zealand Will play its first match against Uganda on 15th June.
