T20 World Cup 2024: In New York, as the cricket world prepares for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 to be held in the West Indies and the US starting from June 1, the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York is making remarkable progress in its construction. The International Cricket Council has released an exciting time-lapse video showcasing the rapid progress of this modular stadium.

With a capacity of 34,000, the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium will host eight matches during the tournament, including the highly anticipated clash between the two great rivalry teams India and Pakistan on June 9. Over the past month, there has been significant development in construction, particularly in the East Stand, which is designed to hold 12,500 enthusiastic fans. ICC Head of Events Chris Tetley expressed his delight at the rapid progress of construction. β€œIt will be extremely interesting to see the progress made on the construction of the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York over the past month. Work on the outfield began in January, and over the past few weeks, the East Stand structure has really begun to take shape” Tetley commented.
