ICC Reveal Groups, Fixtures confirmed for ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Qualifier 2024

Ten Teams Compete for Bangladesh Spots

ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Qualifier 2024 has been unveiled. The event is being organized with the support of Dream 11. It is being organized in Abu Dhabi, Arab Emirates from 25 April to 7 May. Ten teams will compete for two coveted spots at the Women’s T20 World Cup to be held in Bangladesh later this year.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has set the stage for the Women’s T20 World Cup Qualifier 2024. This time the qualifier matches are being organized in Abu Dhabi in which two venues – Tolerance Oval and Zayed Cricket Stadium will lead, which will start next month in April 2024.

Ten teams divided into two groups will compete in this qualifier match.

Exciting Start for ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Qualifier 2024

This tournament will start on 25th April with 4 matches which will be played at Tolerance Oval. The first match will start with Sri Lanka and Thailand while the second match will be against Scotland and Uganda, with Ireland taking on UAE and Zimbabwe taking on Vanuatu at the Zayed Cricket Stadium.

A total of four matches will be played in a day in each group stage matches, in which there will be two matches at each venue, each time will start at 15:00 pm and the evening matches will start at 19:00 pm.

Highlighting the competition, ICC Head of Events Chris Tetley said, given the success of the previous T20 World Cup and the growing fan interest in women’s cricket, the tournament provides a platform for acceleration and Tetley said the event was Praised the Emirates Cricket Board and expressed confidence in his ability.

2023 Women’s T20 World Cup Recap

The last Women’s T20 World Cup was held in Africa in 2023 in which a total of 10 teams participated in which all the teams were divided into two groups of five each. The teams participating in this tournament were England, India, West Indies, Pakistan, Ireland, Australia, South Africa, New Zealand, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh, in which Australia won the final of this tournament by 19 runs.

Qualified Top 5 Teams of 2024 T20 2023 Australia, South Africa, England, India, New Zealand and West Indies have qualified in this competition. Bangladesh and Pakistan have also already qualified in this tournament as they are in this ICC Women’s T20 World Cup hosting the Cup 2024.
