Chennaiyin FC made a comeback with the help of Rafael Crivellaro’s goal in the second half and defeated Jamshedpur FC 2-1 and reached sixth place in the points table

Jamshedpur’s path to play-off becomes difficult, last match against FC Goa.

Chennaiyin FC vs Jamshedpur FC: An exciting match was witnessed between Chennaiyin FC and Jamshedpur FC at Jawaharlal Nehru Indore Stadium, in which Chennaiyin defeated Jamshedpur FC 2-1 and moved to sixth place in the points table.

Chennaiyin FC Secures Crucial Victory at Home

It was necessary to win this match for both the teams, in which Chennaiyin FC took full advantage of playing at home and maintained its dominance. With this win, Chennaiyin has moved to sixth position with 24 points while Jamshedpur FC has moved to ninth position with 21 points.

Chennaiyin has won 7 matches in 20 matches while losing 10 matches and drawing 3 matches. This is the second consecutive win for Chennaiyin. With this win, it has pushed Bengaluru FC to 7th position.

In this season of ISL 2023-24, after Hyderabad FC, Chennaiyin FC and Jamshedpur FC are the two teams which have lost 10 matches. Jamshedpur has faced defeat in three out of the last five matches.

Jamshedpur Takes Early Lead, but Chennaiyin Mounts Comeback

Both teams displayed aggression in the beginning of the match, however, Jamshedpur scored a goal in the 22nd minute of the first half when Rei Tachikawa’s header was deflected into the back of the net with the help of Muhammed Uvais, which was saved by Jamshedpur. Took an early lead.

After a dramatic end to the first half, Chennaiyin made a strong comeback in the second half. Trailing by a goal, Chennaiyin came back to level the score in the 52nd minute when Rafael Crivellaro displayed his clinical finishing skills with a left-footed shot from the center of the box.

After the first goal, a different confidence was seen in the camp of Chennaiyin. Within seven minutes of the first goal, the team took the lead in the match by scoring a goal in the 59th minute.

In the 59th minute, Rahim Ali gave the lead in the match with a powerful strike from the right side of the box using his right foot.

In the remaining part of the match, both teams kept trying to score goals, both teams created many opportunities to score goals, but both failed to score goals.

Chennaiyin eyes play-offs with important matches ahead
